It was one of those unplanned for, impromptu trip to Penang, but this time, it was organized by uncle Colin. We geniuses decided to leave KL on Sunday morning to beat the jam because of the long weekend but failed to realize that we will be traveling back to KL on the same day as all of the other ke-jillion holiday-makers.

That being said, it was an awesome trip. Yes you guessed it right, my son had his fix of CKT, but this time, God-father was in Ipoh for a ping-pong competition.

We stayed at a hotel on Batu Ferringhi called Hydro Hotel. It’s a pretty decent place, the rooms are nice and clean but the pool, the pool was just infested with people. I hate long weekend holidays. Long weekends we should jus stay home.

We overdosed on chicken skin, mommy developed a sore-throat, daddy had headaches after that RM20 worth of fried chicken skin. This was more of a Tom, Dick and Harry crew getaway which Colin organized.

We finally met the TDH crew, a whole bunch of funny people and fun to hang out with. Its sad that I don’t drink, just sitting at the table watching these ppl drink makes me want to have a beer or 2.

The ride to Penang was a bumpy one. Uncle Colin was on a road rage (as always) and I believe it might have stressed you a bit. Mommy was feeling uncomfortable towards the end of the night when we arrived.

Im sorry we put you through that so yes, on the way back we switched drivers. First was David who was nice enough to offer to drive while we ALL napped. Just when we thought the jam was over after 1 hour of driving, the horror begun.

It was a solid 9 friggin hour drive back from PENANG! Worst ever! I swear I will NEVER travel on a long weekend again…All said, the trip was awesome but the ride back was no fun and gave momma and you a hard time

When we got back, its the usual 222 NASTY LEMAK....
